Levaquin.
Levaquin (levofloxacin) is taken by patients diagnosed with kidney infections, pneumonia, prostate infections, chronic bronchitis, urinary tract infections, or some skin infections. This antibiotic works by killing bacteria in the body. It's very important that you take Levaquin for as long as recommended and do not increase the dose prescribed – this is the only way to befit from your treatment without getting any serious health effects. Your doctor will need to be informed if you are already taking tacrolimus, antidepressants, antipsychotics, diuretics, theophylline, anticoagulants, insulin, irregular heartbeat medications, cyclosporine, oral medications for diabetes, or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, as interactions with Levaquin are possible. Your dose of Levaquin may need to be changed. Side effects that you may get when using this drug are not numerous and you will get only a couple of them if any. The following side effects are possible: dizziness, muscle pain, nausea, constipation, vaginal itching, diarrhea, headache, sleep problems, or feeling restless. Make sure you report any of the side effects mentioned if they get very bothersome.
